1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password.

Health and Fitness Data

To provide personalised coaching we collect:

• Age, biological sex, height, and weight
• Fitness goals and activity level
• Dietary preferences, food intolerances, and allergies
• Injury notes and health limitations
• Menstrual cycle data (if provided)
• Daily step counts, workout logs, and duration
• Nutrition logs including meals, calories, and macros
• Body measurements and weight tracking
• Hydration and supplement logs

Health Integration Data

If you connect Apple Health or Google Fit / Health Connect, we collect steps, active calories, walking distance, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep data, blood oxygen, and body weight synced from those services. This requires your explicit permission and can be revoked at any time.

Content You Create

Food photos you submit for AI analysis, meal descriptions, workout descriptions, recipe URLs, pantry items, and any text you enter into the app.

Usage Data

App activity, feature usage, streak data, beast scores, supplement logs, and shopping list data.

Device Data

Device type, operating system, and app version for debugging and compatibility purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate personalised meal plans, workout plans, and nutrition targets using AI
• To analyse food photos and text descriptions to calculate nutritional information
• To track your progress, streaks, and achievements
• To provide AI-powered coaching recommendations
• To sync data with Apple Health and Google Fit where you have granted permission
• To send you alerts and notifications you have enabled in settings
• To improve the app and fix bugs
• To process subscription payments

3. AI Processing

Beast Coach uses Anthropic Claude AI to analyse your meal descriptions, food photos, and fitness data to generate personalised recommendations. Data submitted for AI analysis is processed in accordance with Anthropic's privacy policy. We do not use your personal data to train AI models.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time through the app or by contacting us.

5. Third Party Services

We use the following third party services to operate Beast Coach:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Anthropic — AI meal and workout analysis
• Apple Health — health data sync (iOS, with your permission)
• Google Fit / Health Connect — health data sync (Android, with your permission)
• USDA FoodData Central — food nutrition database
• Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription billing and app distribution

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the services listed above, or as required by law. We do not share your health or fitness data with advertisers.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data via Settings → Profile
• Delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete Account
• Export your data (coming soon)
• Withdraw consent for health data sync at any time via Settings → Apple Health or Android Health Connect
• Opt out of notifications via Settings → Notifications

8. Children

Beast Coach is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
